Clueless over here... what does surge mean? I've heard it and read it, but no clue. Guess I could look it up.

A serger sews and finishes the seams at one time so nothing unravels. If you look on the inside of a t-shirt, the seams are serged - it kind of has a wrapped look. There are other things a serger does but that's the most basic and usually most useful.

OMG - I really have been not paying attention. If it's any consolation, I have just been entirely too busy to read blogs. Like - at ALL! I love what you've done with the tunic! :)
